EPILEPSY BERKSHIRE’S Virtual PURPLE DAY 2021
Purple Day was on Friday March 26th and marks the national day when the epilepsy community aims to increase awareness.
Our plans for Purple Day this year were restricted, due to Covid. However, two Zoom sessions were scheduled. One at 10.30 am, for the public and some members of EB and then one at 7.30 pm that evening, for EB members only. The first session consisted of a short talk on Epilepsy given by Kevin Boyle, Acting Chair of Epilepsy Berkshire.
The morning session was to introduce the public to epilepsy, this was a zoom session with an introductory talk on Epilepsy, given by Kevin Boyle.
Evening activities included a quiz and competition. We all wore purple, including our newly-designed T shirts and rosettes. Some of the members’ families contributed some drawings and paintings in purple.
